Just wondering if you guys have came up with an acceptable repaint for the nickle parts. Or do you just use high heat silver and call it good. Thanks

I wouldn't repaint. Many cities have plating shops that might be able to do small parts.

No paint will ever look as good as nickel plating nor will it look authentic. The same holds true for heaters with porcelain enamel. It all depends on what you want to do with your heater. If it's sole purpose is providing heat and you just want it to be presentable, go ahead and use paint. If you intend to use it in a place where looks really will matter, do it as the factory did it. On the good side of painting, if you paint and are dissatisfied with what you see, you can always disassemble it and go to the plating shop.
